These terms govern your use of https://www.maiquelascosmetology.net, the website of Maiquela's Cosmetology Academy, 8511 Long Beach Blvd, South Gate, CA 90280. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Information about programs is not an offer or a contract

Program descriptions, hour requirements, curricula and schedules described on this website are provided for general information. They do not constitute an enrolment agreement, a contract, or an offer of admission.

The terms that govern any enrolment are those set out in the written enrolment agreement signed by you and the academy. Where this website and that agreement differ, the signed agreement controls.

Licensing information is general guidance

This website describes California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology requirements — including training hours, the written examination and licence renewal — as general guidance to help prospective students understand the process.

Requirements, fees and procedures are set by the State of California and can change. Nothing on this site is legal advice, immigration advice or a guarantee of licensure. Always verify current requirements directly with the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology before applying.

No guarantee of licensure or employment

Completing a program at the academy makes you eligible to apply for examination; it does not guarantee that you will pass the state written examination or be issued a licence. Licensure decisions rest entirely with the State of California.

The academy does not guarantee employment following graduation. Nothing on this website should be read as a promise of a job, an income level, or a placement outcome.

Pricing and costs

This website does not publish tuition figures. Costs described in general terms — programs, kits, books, consumable product and state fees — are explanatory. Actual amounts are quoted directly by the academy and set out in the enrolment agreement.

Fees payable to the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology are set by the State and are not paid to the academy.

Student salon services

Services performed on the clinic floor are carried out by students in training under the supervision of a licensed instructor. Availability depends on which classes are running.

An instructor may decline any requested service that cannot be performed safely on the hair or skin presented. Some services require a patch or strand test before they can be carried out.

Reviews reproduced on this website are quoted from the academy’s public Google Business listing and are the opinions of the individuals who wrote them. Reviews originally written in Spanish are shown in Google’s translation and are labelled as such.
